AEA air quality expert on BBC’s Costing The Earth

Geoff Dollard, Practice Leader for Air and Environmental Quality, was recently interviewed for BBC Radio 4’s Costing the Earth Programme.

Presenter Tom Heap was shown the air quality monitoring equipment on the site at Harwell, Oxfordshire, one of the largest monitoring sites in the UK, incorporating instruments that are used to make measurements of a wide range of atmospheric components using some of the most advanced monitoring equipment operated in the UK networks.

The Harwell air quality monitoring station is one of more than 150 such stations operated by Defra and the Devolved Administrations in the UK. The station is used to make measurements both for compliance with EU legislation and limit values; and also for scientific research into the changing air quality climate within the UK.

The interview will be available to listen to here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006r4wn
