The Lightning GT, one of the stunning electric vehicles taking part in the AEA managed EEMS Accelerate project, has been rated one of the top 5 green supercars by The National. It ranked the UK-based Lighting GT and its 'classic supercar looks' alongside Koenigsegg's CCXR, the Jaguar C-X75, Honda's NSXe and Fisker's new hybrid, the Karma.
The EEMS Accelerate project is part of the Technology Strategy Board's £25m Ultra-Low Carbon Vehicle Demonstrator competition. The project puts four cutting-edge, British-designed and engineered electric cars in the hands of regular drivers for a year. The Lightining GT is one of the cars now on the roads alongside the Westfield Sport-E, the Delta E-4 Coupe and Ecotricity's Nemesis.
The Lightning GT was recently put through its paces by Translogic's Bradley Hasemeyer, watch the video below. Click here to find out more about AEA's work with the EEMS Accelerate project.
